At Jade Recovery we utilize Unyte’s iom2 biofeedback device as part of our meditation and treatment. With a simple ear clip, the iom2 measures your body’s Heart Rate Variability (HRV) to determine your Resonance score, a direct reflection of your state of stress or relaxation. Paired with our Journeys software on desktop or mobile devices, the innovative iom2 helps you gain more awareness of your thoughts, feelings, emotions and physical state, guiding you through your meditation and into deeper states of relaxation.
An Evidence-Based Program
HRV is a measure of the variation in time between heartbeats and is considered to be a strong indicator of your meditative state. It has been shown through decades of research that a higher HRV correlates with an optimal, relaxed nervous system state, positive emotions, and improved health. According to the research, HRV biofeedback may, as part of a healthy lifestyle, help in the following ways:

The goal of our biofeedback program is to teach children how to calm their minds and bodies so that when they experience a surge of emotions or a stressful event, they know how to work through their anxiety and move forward with their day.
With Unyte iom2, there are built in relaxation games for teens to engage them in a more fulfilling way.

Summary of Our Biofeedback Program
We start by understanding and measuring a baseline during your first week of treatment. Once we have a starting threshold, we can start our program of improving HRV, relaxation techniques, and meditation strategies. Our goal is to helps you gain more awareness of your thoughts, feelings, emotions and physical state, guiding you through your meditation and into deeper states of relaxation.
Track & Review Improvement
During the course of treatment, you’ll wear your iom2 simple ear clip during all mediation and relaxation exercises as well as stress reduction groups. Data is collected from every time you use the iom2, to help you see and track improvements. After treatment, the iom2 is available for clients to continue to use to continue their improvement and track their results.
