Clinical Interventions

At Jade Recovery, we strive to offer a different type of treatment. As you’ll see, the scope of our services, goals, and programs is extensive. Below is a brief summary of the Jade difference.

Existentialism focuses on how you see the world, how you contextualize it, and how to use that awareness in making decisions and in your interactions. People tend to have limited awareness of their challenges and problems. By gaining insight, once recognize patterns and change behavior.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) focuses on increasing psychological flexibility to take on new challenges. Instead of fighting feelings of guilt or shame, ACT encourages people to embrace their thoughts or feelings rather than running from them. In doing so, it becomes easier to avoid past patterns of defensive behavior or coping mechanisms and instead take on challenges or conflict in a more healthy way.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) focuses on how cognitions, emotions, and behavior relate to each other and how changing the way an individual evaluates a situation can change the behavioral reaction. It can also be applied by initially implementing behavioral changes which will lead to an eventual change in cognitive processes. Through challenging cognitive distortions, one can recognize and change they behavior.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) is a specific type of cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy developed in the late 1980s by psychologist Marsha M. Linehan to help better treat borderline personality disorder. Since its development, it has also been used for the treatment of other kinds of mental health disorders. Dialectical behavior therapy skills for emotion regulation include:

  • Learning to properly identify and label emotions
  • Identifying obstacles to changing emotions
  • Reducing vulnerability to “emotion mind”
  • Increasing positive emotional events
  • Increasing mindfulness to current emotions
  • Taking opposite action
  • Applying distress tolerance techniques

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

With the support of specially trained clinicians who provide targeted trauma treatment such as Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) in individual therapy sessions. CPT is evidence-based and has been proven to effectively treat individuals struggling with post-traumatic stress disorder. CPT aims to retrain the brain to think differently about the traumatic event.  All too often with post-traumatic stress disorder, the witness takes on the blame for the outcome of the traumatic occurrence.

Relapse Prevention Therapy (RPT)

Relapse Prevention Therapy (RPT) is an Evidence-based practiced that is recognized by both the National Registry of Evidence-based Programs and Practices (NREPP) and the National Institute of Drug Abuse. RPT provides effective and easy to use methods for identifying and managing early relapse warning signs and high risk situations.

Medication Assisted Therapy (MAT)

MAT therapy is used in combination with counseling services to treat the “whole” person and provide stability so patient’s can address issues antagonizing their sobriety. Research has shown that MAT interventions along with therapy can help stabilize those at high risk for relapse and help maintain long term recovery. FDA approved MAT interventions include:

  • Buprenorphine
  • Naloxone

Our Treatment Difference

Interesting and Diverse Groups

We combine core curriculum, relevant track programming and engaging elective groups.

Our clinical team runs all core groups; we don’t rely on outside therapists to run our treatment program.

As you create your weekly treatment schedule, choose from elective groups such as art therapy, music therapy and therapeutic experiences.

When available, we will offer groups run by national advocates and industry leaders through our telehealth platform.

A Different Approach to Individual Therapy

Keep your same therapist from treatment after discharge through our after-care program.

All of our therapists also run group therapy, leading to a more engaging group dynamic.

No patient is limited to only one hour of individual therapy; we base our treatment on patient needs.

Our treatment approach will be determined by medical necessity, not insurance payment minimum guidelines

Addiction affects the whole family.

Our counselors are here to help. Contact us today to learn more.
