Chief Executive Officer
David Forstadt is a Doctoral candidate in Clinical Psychology and holds two Masters Degrees in Community Mental Health Counseling and Psychology. He has 15 years experience in the field of Behavioral Health specializing in Addiction, Dual Diagnosis Populations and Mental Health Administration. As an expert on program development, integrated care, and research-based approaches, Mr. Forstadt has helped provide services to many population segments of the behavioral health field nationwide. He has consulted and restructured dozens of treatment facilities to optimize the clinical and fiscal quality of services rendered. He has authored multiple publications in international journals focused on substance use and mental health disorders and is an advocate for the mental health and LGBTQ community.
As owner of Anthony Ferkel Fitness, Anthony is a leading lifestyle coach, fitness educator and personal trainer. Between his work in Los Angeles and New York, he has trained NBA athletes, celebrities, models and Wall Street executives for over 17 years. At Jade Recovery, he will provide superior lifestyle and fitness coaching to those who are working towards lifelong recovery.
Anthony’s training and coaching knowledge incorporates years of multidisciplinary training, which allows him to effectively utilize holistic interventions to help clients find balance in their lives. He empowers people everywhere to define and reach their physical and psychological goals.
Anthony holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and is certified as a professional personal trainer through NASM and IFA. He has studied under former Mr. America winner, Rich Beretta, whose client-focused mantra guides Anthony’s work to this day: “Listen to what the client says, what the client’s body is telling you, and always remember that each and every client is unique and requires a specifically tailored game plan.”
Director of Dialectics
A Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Charese earned both her undergraduate degree in Psychology and her Masters in Social Work from the University of Washington in Seattle. As Director of Dialectics at Jade Recovery, she will provide clinical supervision to therapists new to the field and consultation to trained therapists seeking to expand their understanding of DBT and borderline personality disorder (BPD).
Charese has worked in the mental health field for 15 years in various settings, including UCSF, University of Washington. and Kaiser Permanente. She further specializes in providing evidence-based treatment for individuals who struggle with borderline personality disorder (BPD), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, anxiety disorders and depression. While at the University of Washington, she had the unique opportunity to work with Marsha Linehan, Ph.D., the developer of DBT, on multiple studies on the efficacy of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
Charese developed her expertise as a skills trainer and individual DBT therapist while working at a juvenile prison. Since then, she has continued to expand her knowledge of DBT and other evidenced-based therapies such as Prolonged Exposure Therapy and Exposure and Response Prevention through individual consultation, consultation groups and trainings.
